Beth joined the practice in April 2007. She qualified in 2005 and since then has gained experience in a variety of areas including, respiratory physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and out patients working for a large teaching hospital in Cardiff. She now works locally as a musculskeletal physiotherapist for the NHS and attends the practice several evenings a week and saturdays as required. She has post-graduate training in orthopaedic medicine, a method of assessing the soft tissues of the musculoskeletal system. These skills are valuable because it uses a systematic approach to lead to eventual clinical diagnosis.
Beth has an interest in the management of sports injuries and has worked at the London marathon in 2006 and 2007. She is an active member of the Association of Charted Physiotherapists interested in Sports Medicine (ACPSM). She is working towards a qualification from the ACPSM and as a part of this has a sports and exercise first aid qualification.
She has attended an evidence-based conference gaining up to date knowledge on a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and treatments from worldwide leading health professionals.
In her spare time Beth enjoys seeing her friends and family, running, circuits and pilates. |
